A Place Of Hope?

Barack Obama, the guy who wants to be the next U.S. President, is in Israel for some photo-ops. One of them was in the form of visiting Yad Vashem. Of the many brilliant things he said there was that "Ultimately, this is a place of hope".

I may not be as smart (and definitely not as slick) as Obama, but I do value my intelligence somewhat. And I'm having a hard time understanding how exactly a memorial to millions of Jews that were murdered only because they were Jews can be a place of hope. Any ideas?

quoted from a news site obama said this

"So despite this record of monumental tragedy this ultimately is a place of hope because it reminds us of our obligations and responsibilities hopefully to raise a better future for our children and our grandchildren."

that sort of answers your question but i dont think it makes too much sense either.

MCcain is what we need.

I also see Yad Veshem as a place of hoipe, hope that maybe one day the people who built it will actually understand what the holocaust was really about.
